SERICA

Gastronomy experience design with liquid

Liquid can be infused, reduced or extracted, and takes many roles at the table. Inspired by oriental and Western cultures, we collaborated with Serica Restaurant and designed a collection of double-function straw tools to create unique gastronomic experiences when interacting with liquids.

Food isn’t just something we eat—it’s a way we connect, share stories, and experience culture. This collection of double-function straw tools explores the rituals and traditions around liquids, creating a fresh experience that makes tasting more immersive, playful, and memorable.

About SERICA

Serica proposes a gastronomic journey along the silk road. The Italian gastronomic tradition will dialogue with the boundless Chinese culinary universe, thus inventing a new sense of taste that goes beyond geographical boundaries and contains the best that every land can give. The dishes proposed represent the union between the two cultures, in form, ingredients, and technique. Food seen as a cultural tool, which unites in diversity.

Liquids can be infused, reduced or extracted. In this way they take on many engaging roles at the table.

Liquid acts as this medium of communication, connection, exchange and transfer of the tangible and intangible elements

Co-creation
behind the design

During the design process, we co-created with Chef Nicola Bonora and Mauro Yap from Serica Restaurant, focusing on food and ritual design. Soffieria Villa supported us with their expertise in glassmaking techniques.
